Sum presents 'Brussels Low Line' in the Russian Pavilion @ MIPIM

Our collaborator Marc Appelmans had the opportunity to present the 'Brussels Low Line" project and to share our experience during a workshop at the Russian Pavilion at MIPIM 2019. "How to deal with the social conflicts, which emerge during the implementation of large-scale urban planning projects" - an exchange between Russian - French and, yes, even a Belgian project. We are proud to be an ambassador for Brussels and our Brussels Capital City!

Sum in A+

A+, the leading Belgian architectural magazine, dedicated an article to the renovation of the 'Boekentoren' in Ghent. In 2005 the decision was made to invest 30 million euros in the renovation of the 'Boekentoren', designed by Henry van de Velde in the 1930's and completed in 1942. With a spectacular underground storage facility and a new, concrete façade, this was a massive undertaking, but the 'Boekentorenteam', working with surgical precision and conceptual elegance, achieved a result well worth the wait. You can read the article here (in dutch).
