Master plan and redevelopment of the former racecourse

A stone's throw from Brussels, between Sterrebeek and Tervuren, Sum has defined the image of "Sterea" - the redevelopment of the Sterrebeek racecourse site, over an area of ​​more than 70 ha. The project starts from the quality of the landscape, responds to and strengthens the existing ecological and natural assets.
'Sterea' has become a unique and multifunctional project where, from the landscaped environment of an 18-hole golf course, a total development is achieved with different residential typologies (300 units in apartments, villas and park residences) but also tourism (hotel) and an exclusive wellness center, offices, shops and many public spaces for recreational and social experiences.
‘Sterea’ is an ideal destination for both families and business alike. It offers a generous environment; one can live there, work and even have a good leisure time. The site continuously exudes a dynamic and lively atmosphere, and generates a pleasant atmosphere and recreational activities, both during the day and in the evening, weekdays and weekends: walking and playing, sports and swimming, fun and relaxation.
