The City of Brussels launched a call for the update of the needs assessment related to the spatial and technical requirements for the preservation of several important collections. These include the archives of the City of Brussels and the Public Centre for Social Welfare (OCMW), as well as part of the Museum of the City of Brussels' collections.
The study is being carried out under the coordination of SumProject and marks a crucial first step in the much-needed renewal of the archival facilities. The current situation is precarious: a valuable collection is housed in a building that is no longer fit for purpose. Addressing the technical and spatial challenges of the site represents an important and ambitious undertaking—one that we embrace with commitment and enthusiasm.
