Since June 6, the Bruges Beguinage has celebrated its 800-year history with a diverse program of exhibitions, lectures, concerts, and unique experiences centered around the theme 800 Years of the Beguinage – Sauvegarde – preserving and cherishing what is valuable.

This past Saturday and Sunday marked the closing weekend, with plenty of activities once again taking place at this unique location.

B. Van der Wee Architects and SumProject+SumResearch are currently working on the second phase of the Master Plan for restoration. Based on house visits, the vision is being further refined, both in terms of the heritage value of buildings themselves and within the broader social value.
