Hotel van Belle, Brussels
Sum created various scenarios for the reorganization of Hotel Van Belle in the context of a phased renovation project.
The importance of a long-term vision is clearly seen in this project. Within the context of a Brussels district contract, it seemed very interesting to develop various scenarios and present each of these to the different parties of the district contract. The preliminary study tried to approach the urban context, the history and the use of the building volume as broadly as possible. As a result, the owner could subsequently be presented with a clearly phased proposal for further study, execution and budget.
