Sum @ Universidade Lisboa - Instituto Superior de Agronomia


Marc Appelmans was invited by 'Instituto Superior de Agronomia' at the 'Universidade de Lisboa' for a lecture about the ‘Brussels Low Line' project. His lecture about the 'a linear urban park in the pedestrian zone of the historical centre of Brussels as a motor for urban regeneration' focused on the transformation of the former urban highway into a pleasant and sustainable environment.

Many thanks to Prof. Cristina Castel-Branco, Prof. Ana Luisa Soares, and Prof Sónia Talhé Azambuja and the “Friends of the Botanical Garden of Ajuda” for organising this moment of real exchange of practice.

After first discussions at the University of California, Berkeley at the seminar organised by Prof Marc Treib, followed by the conferences organised by Prof Anette Freytag at Rutgers University, the Brussels Days in Washington and NewYork, people are becoming aware of the international importance of the project we are realizing in Brussels.
