The renovation works of the pre-metro station De Brouckère have started. After 40 years, it is time to renovate the waterproofing of the ceiling of the station. As part of these works, a parking for 500 bikes will be installed in the underground with adapted access ramps.

Being part of the pedestrian zone, the larger urban renewal project of Brussels, the place De Brouckère will afterwards get a make-over as well. The regeneration of the public space between the ‘place De Brouckère’ and the ‘place Fontainas’ will make the city centre green, accessible and will reconnect different neighbourhoods.
