Brownfield 'Park 1302' welcomes 'Goedendag'

'Park 1302', the re-conversion of brownfield site into a new green and pleasant urban living environment close to the city centre of Kortrijk, welcomes residence 'Goedendag'. This new building with 28 apartments is one floor lower than residence 'Theodoor", which welcomed the first inhabitants on the site in 2016. SumProject developed this thriving project with 81 apartments and 49 houses, while SumResearch created the masterplan for re-conversion. More info on the project page.

Marc Appelmans was invited by 'Instituto Superior de Agronomia' at the 'Universidade de Lisboa' for a lecture about the ‘Brussels Low Line' project. His lecture about the 'a linear urban park in the pedestrian zone of the historical centre of Brussels as a motor for urban regeneration' focused on the transformation of the former urban highway into a pleasant and sustainable environment. News from the site: Bio-Accelerator FSVM II - Ghent

The new Bio-Accelerator FSVM II (named after Ghent biotech pioneers Fiers, Schell and Van Montagu) is making progress. The first building, a PPP - commissioned by vzw Lo²cus (VIB + UGent), reached its highest point in structural work. The construction of the greenhouse, on the roof, starts in December.
